Chris Ehrmann-Rivera
Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker & journalist
I am a Puerto Rican cinematographer and director who has traveled all over the world filming.
My cinematography strives for patience, intimacy, and beauty to help explore complex stories about people and difficult subjects. Previously, I worked as a journalist for several years and I have honed my storytelling skills with integrity, compassion, and respect when telling stories.

I hold a master's degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley and my work has taken me to India, Namibia, Ghana, and Colombia. Some of the news organizations I've worked for, and with, include the Associated Press, Report For America, USA Today, and The GroundTruth Project.

Some of my achievements include a 2019 Emmy nomination, receiving the Brian Pollack Award for documentary filmmaking in 2022, and the being a part of the inaugural class of the Moment Institute Middle East Fellows program in 2023.

Bonus fun facts: I am trilingual in Spanish and Arabic and I have a husky named Tundra and she's traveled all over the country with me!
